Recently, Amazon has partnered with Huawei to come out with Huawei’s Mate 9, which incorporates Amazon’s popular voice-activated assistant, Alexa. After the failure of Amazon’s Fire Phone, the company realized the need to pair with a third-party.
Amazon doesn’t want to stop with iPhones. The company has also partnered with Ford to integrate Alexa into the cars. The technology will allow “drivers to start their cars using their Amazon Echo, play Kindle audio books and order items on Amazon while travelling – as well as more generic search and navigation functions.”
Steve Rabuchin, vice president for Amazon Alexa said:
“We believe voice is the future, and this is particularly true in cars.”
