Florida International University’s School of Communication and Journalism has opened a new student-run Mobile Virtual Reality Lab, a collaborative project including High-def VR cameras and video editing software, encouraging experimentation with visual storytelling. The new program, VitrualEYES, is focused on reporting and researching the effects of sea level rise in South Florida. The success of SIU’s program to date has prompted a partnership with graduate students at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
