According to product designers, talking robots are making people angry.
Elizabeth McGuane from Intercom explains technology should remain simply a tool in our lives, nothing more than a background component. Technology should never get in the way of our daily activities.

McGuane reached this conclusion with her design team while testing a talking bot. They found that people could not stand when the robot spoke back to them, and even more so when the robot used a name.
Voice can have a humanizing effect on technology, but this effect can also be irritating.
